Mid Autumn Festival Story Part I

Hi tourists!

Do you know the story of Mid Autumn Festival?

It takes place on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month which happens in September this year.

People started to celebrate this day in memory of the beautiful goddess, Chang Er.

Chang E the Immortal of the Moon

She used to be a mortal in the Zhou Dynasty 3000 years ago and was wife of the king, Hou Yi, who was an expert marksman with the bow and arrow.

During those times, there were ten suns in the sky, and people suffered daily from the scorching heat. Hou Yi did a great service to his people by shooting down nine of these suns with his arrow and earned the respect of his people and together with that, the title of the ruler.

However, as with many great men, he was corrupted by his new found power…
